Where else can you feel so heartily
welcome, accepted and at home as in a group of singers who love
to share what they love to do. There may be many other places and
occasions where this is also true but I experienced this feeling just a few
days ago when I and a friend drove a long distance in weather that
was not the best and just sat in at a regular evening of a singing
rehearsal where I only knew the names of two members. This event came about because
of an earlier brief discussion with these two members and a
“gesellschaftlichem Singen bekannter Lieder” at an intermission at that time.
Although I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all
involved, I am not mentioning any names here to emphasize the point
that such occasions may be experienced by anyone who loves to sing
and takes some very simple steps to be a part of what I call a "nette Runde"
